Parklife is the UK’s largest metropolitan music festival, attracting thousands of attendees each year. With over 10 separate stages featuring a diverse lineup of artists, effective noise management is crucial to ensure compliance with local regulations and minimise disruption to nearby residents.
As the festival continues to operate at a high capacity, Parklife faced ongoing challenges in managing sound levels from so many sources. The festivals acoustic consultant Three Spires Acoustics (TSA) required a reliable solution to monitor and control noise levels in real-time, ensuring compliance with local noise regulations and maintaining a positive relationship with the surrounding community.
Noisy was introduced as a comprehensive noise management system, effectively addressing the specific needs identified by TSA. The system featured sound level meters strategically installed across the festival site, allowing for continuous monitoring of noise levels from each stage. The data collected by Noisy was accessible on a single platform, enabling TSA and festival organizers to monitor sound levels across all stages simultaneously. This centralised approach facilitated efficient decision-making and rapid responses to any potential noise issues.
Over the last three years, Noisy has proven to be an invaluable asset to the Parklife music festival, providing an effective noise management platform that ensures compliance and contribute to a positive festival experience. As the festival continues to grow, Noisy will remain a crucial component of their operations.
